Product Description:
Why is the Pre-Charged battery better?
The Pre-Charged AA Battery is the next step in battery evolution. Original Alkaline batteries could only be used once and had to be thrown away. Bad for the environment, and bad for your wallet. Why throw money away? Ni-MH Rechargeable batteries were the solution, they could be used over and over again, but they had to be charged right out of the package, and would slowly drain even when not being used. If left sitting for a few months after being charged it would drain completely. The latest and greatest battery technological improvement, the Pre-Charged AA, overcomes these limitations by being ready to use right out of the package and holding it's charge up to four times as long. You can charge your batteries and they will be ready to go when you need them, no more charging immediately before use. *These batteries will work with any device that uses AA batteries. Place them in your Emergency/disaster kit and they will be ready when you need them or simply use them daily for all your electronic devices* COMPATIBLE With Garmin eTrex / Camo eTrex / Legend eTrex / Legend Cx eTrex / Legend HCx eTrex / Summit eTrex / Summit HC eTrex / Venture eTrex / Venture cx eTrex / Venture HC eTrex / Vista eTrex / VistaCx eTrex / Vista HCx eTrex / GPS 60 / GPS 72 / GPS 76 / GPSMAP 60 / GPSMAP®60CSx / GPSMAP®60Cx / GPSMAP 76 / GPSMAP 76CSx / GPSMAP 76Cx / GPSMAP® 76S AND Magellan eXplorist 100 eXplorist 200 North America eXplorist 210 eXplorist 300 North America eXplorist 600 eXplorist XL Triton 1500 Triton 2000

Garmin compatible 12v Cigarette Lighter Power Adapter for StreetPilot III Deluxe, GPS 60 GPSMap 60C & 60CS, GPS 76, 76CS, 76C, GPS V, etc. (4-pin connector) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I had been using my Garmin GPS with batteries for years.I used the rechargeable ones, keeping the cost low.I figured I didn't need the additional cords and hassle of the cigarette lighter power adapter.I purchased one on a whim, and I'm really happy with it.I didn't use the backlighting on the GPS at night before, because of how quickly it would drain the batteries. Now I can use it every minute, and I'm really enjoying my GPS even more.I'm glad I own this product.

GPS Universal Screen Protectors for Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx 60Cx 60CS 60C 60 TomTom GO 520 720 920 930 TOMTOM ONE Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This screen protector works as a protector, It makes the screen a little darker but is not bad.You also had to cut the sheet and you can get 2 pcs out of it for the Garmin GPSMAP 60's series. However as with any static type item you get bubbles behind the protector and are very hard to get out.Doesnt affect it too much except in daylight. With the backlight on and in the shade its not too bad.I'm thinking of buying the carrying case with the protector built in and seeing if that is any better in the daylight.

Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx Waterproof Handheld GPS Unit Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Do not purchase from this "storefront" (sedative3145), the seller untruthfully claims to have this item (Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx Waterproof Handheld GPS Unit (GPSUnit w/Topo US 2008)) in stock. I received no communication at all from sedative3145, Amazon had to cancel my order. In order to get the equipment in time, I had to reorder it thru Amazon, costing me an additional $47.

Delorme Earthmate PN-60 Portable GPS Navigator Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)The PN-60 is a much better unit than the PN-40.Battery life is infinitely longer compared to the PN-40 (I had one) this unit will go all day on the Li-ion rechargeable pack.Additionally, the new menu system is far quicker to navigate and the profile view showing elevation is great for hikes. This unit teamed with the new Topo 9 also provides for quicker and simpler map and routing downloads. As far a GPS units this one may not have the biggest screen or smallest size etc...the reason you buy this unit is for the data layering and the Delorme maps- nothing comes close for $29.95 / year.

Check out the Delorme web site for plenty of examples.

Garmin Colorado 300 Bilingual Handheld GPS Unit with North American Maps Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I have used this GPS on hikes with navigational requirements and just general testing. These are my conclusions after a few calls to Garmin Support and searching GPS forums. The good news is that it is well constructed, has many features. If you buy the city, topo, and marine mapping, you can probably do it all. It has a fairly basic ease of operation (after you get the settings customized). The bad news is that the manual is way too general and if you want to do basic custom setups, you might have to call Tech Support but the unit is so new that even they don't always know the answers (do not e-mail them questions, call instead. Much better support). That's were the GPS forums can come in handy. The problems I have encountered is first and foremost how difficult it can be to view the screen outside (especially topo detail) unless you have the sun shining directly on it. The backlight under low light conditions (shade, early morning hours) outside will not help. The altimeter does not seem to be the most accurate at times and when you have the unit turned off, drive to a new location, turn it on, the altitude can sometimes still read your last location until you recalibrate it. Even with it set to auto calibrate and full satellite bars. NMHI rechargeable batteries do not work well with this unit if you value the backlight. There is a bug in their firmware (hopefully they will get it fixed soon) that will turn the backlight off permanently after a very short time and in some cases, that I have been reading, completely shut the unit off even when the batteries have a full charge. Some people have had problems with the current time not updating even after the GPS has locked into satellites and have been told to return the unit for an exchange, but mine has worked fine. The manual tells you how to access settings but gives no detail as to what the settings mean, leaving you to experiment, dig, accidentally find what you want, or call tech support for even basic things as transferring archived (saved) tracks to your PC, transferring topo map detail, or deleting archived tracks. Some of the things I have mentioned are bugs that will hopefully get resolved with firmware updates but right now, I can only moderately recommend this GPS. It has taken me a lot of time playing with this unit, experimenting, calling tech support, and reading blogs to operate it to my satisfaction (minus the bugs).

Garmin Carrying Case for GPSMAP 60 Series Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I purchased this cover to protect my 60cs and it does exactly what I had hoped. The cover is elastic on the back and has a rubber-like material on the sides and top which enables you to get a good grip on your GPS.The front of the cover is made of plastic which extends the length of the view screen as well as the buttons.

I do however, have some gripes about the cover. The plastic cover can make entering data with the rocker pad tedious because even though you are pressing the rocker one way, the plastic causes the rocker to respond another way.I would rather have seen a separate cover for the buttons that was a bit more pliable. Also, you have to take off the cover if you want to plug your GPS unit into your computer via the USB cable. An opening in the cover would have made this easier.Lastly, the cover does not work with the handlebar mount for the 60cs.I really wish that it would because it is on the handlebars of my bicycle that I need the most protection. Therefore, I also bought some plastic screen covers to attach to the front face of the GPS to prevent it from getting scratched. However, the plastic screen covers and this cover do not play well and I have found that the cover pulls the plastic screen covers off.

The 60cs is a big investment.Despite the flaws in the cover design, it is definitely worth the extra cost of buying this cover. And pick up some plastic screen covers as well.
