Osprey-Talon sent a replacement battery.Again, it would not take a charge.In the meantime the original Garmin battery that came in the M5 when it was new continues to function normally and take a charge normally.Have returned the second unit to Osprey-Talon for a refund.. It appears that the Osprey-Talon battery has the contact strips set further inside the battery covering, which may not allow it to contact with the strips in the M5
